Railroad Commission examination, renewal and class fees
are nonrefundable.
LP-Gas Management Course Fees
Category F, G, I and J (16 hours): $150 per person
Category E (80 hours): $750 per person
Management course fees do not include examination fees.
LP-Gas Management-Level Examination Fees
All categories: $70 per person, whether the examination
is given separately or in conjunction with a management
class. This fee is due each time the exam is taken.
Employee-Level Examination Fees
All categories: $40 per person, whether the examination
is given separately or in conjunction with a class. This
fee is due each time the exam is taken.
Eight-Hour Class Fees
Any eight-hour AFRED class taken to fulfill a Railroad
Commission management- or employee-level or continuing
education requirement is free of charge for Railroad Commission
certificate holders who have paid the annual renewal fee.
The fee for an eight-hour class is $75 per person for
new LP certificate applicants, for LPG certificate holders
who are required to comply with first-year training requirements
and for uncertified individuals, including individuals
whose certificates have expired.
Annual Certification Renewal Fees
AFRED mails renewal notices to each LPG licensee,
and to each certificate holder who is not employed by
a licensed company, on or before March 1 each year.
The fee to renew an LPG certification(s) each year is
$35, payable by May 31. Applicants for certification who
pass an initial examination between March 1 and May 31
have until May 31 of the following year to renew their
certificates.
To maintain your LPG certification after you retire or
leave the industry, you must continue to pay the $35 certification
renewal fee. In such cases, please make sure the
Railroad Commission knows your current mailing address.
No fees are associated with issuing a replacement Railroad
Commission certification card.
Late Fees
Annual certification renewals postmarked after May 31
are subject to a $20 late fee.
Transfer Fees
LPG certified individuals who transfer their employment
from one licensee to another are required to submit LPG
Form 16A, "Certified Employee Transfer of Certification,"
and pay a fee of $10.00.
Outside Trainers' Fees
Fees for classes offered by Commission-approved outside
instructors are set by the individual or organization
conducting the class. The Railroad Commission does not
establish or approve such fees. |
