Pre-registration is required for all classes. Pre-registration is also required at least two business days in advance for all exams given outside of Austin. After you register, if the schedule changes for any reason, AFRED will call or e-mail you ahead of time and notify you of the changes.

AFRED’s eight-hour classes are FREE for Railroad Commission certificate holders who have paid the annual renewal fee.  The fee for an eight-hour class is $75 per person for new applicants, for first-year training classes and for uncertified individuals, including those whose certificates have expired.

Use the form below to register for a class, an exam, or both. Please consider the students or examinees registered as soon as you submit the form. Registrants for 16- and 80-hour courses will receive separate confirmation of registration.
